Conformance status
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Our current status is partially conformant, which means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working on the items listed below.
Measures we take
- Running an accessibility tool on the site (the Web Accessibility — WCAG Scanning, Guided Fixes and Usability Widget plugin) that provides visitor-facing controls and ongoing scanning
- Writing descriptive alternative text for photographs of our equipment and completed projects
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Using semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure
- Ensuring forms have visible, correctly associated labels
- Supporting keyboard navigation, including a skip-to-content link
- Serving the entire site over an encrypted HTTPS connection
Known limitations
We want to be straightforward about where we currently fall short:
- Some older project photographs may still lack descriptive alternative text. We are working through our media library.
- Some decorative and interactive elements produced by our page builder may not expose ideal labels to assistive technology.
- Third-party embedded content, such as mapping or analytics widgets, is not fully under our control.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) used together with common assistive technologies. It may not work well in browsers more than a few versions old.
Tell us about a problem
If you encounter a barrier on this site, we want to hear about it. Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five business days, and we will provide the information you were seeking in an alternative format if we cannot fix the barrier quickly.
